Bagnalls Apprentices Succeed at Leeds College BIG Awards!

Huge congratulations are in order for four of our talented Leeds apprentices. Katie Sanders, Khiara Anderson, Faith Loynes and Owen Sheldon all saw success at the Leeds College of Building BIG Awards, which rewards students for their academic accomplishments and practical skills.
Each of our four painting and decorating apprentices took home prestigious awards, a testament to their hard work, dedication and talent in painting and decorating. We are extremely proud to have these skilled apprentices as part of the Bagnalls family!
Katie took home the title of Painting and Decorating Apprentice of the Year, confirming her skill in this area. This is just one of many awards Katie has won this year, building her reputation as an emerging talent in our industry.
Khiara received the prestigious Principal’s Award in recognition of her hard work and dedication throughout the year. Brand-new for this year, the Principal’s Award rewards excellence in trade areas, as well as impressive behaviour, attendance and dedication at college.
Faith won the title of Multi-Skill Trade Student of the Year. The varied course she selected is designed for students who are unsure about the trade they wish to undertake in terms of their future career. Therefore, it furnishes them with skills in bricklaying, tiling, joinery, plastering and decoration. Each student then decides which trade they like best in order to further pursue it – we are thrilled that Faith has chosen to focus on painting and decorating!
The title of Apprentice of the Year was awarded to Owen for his clear skill within the world of painting and decorating, along with his positive attitude and unfailing dedication to both practical and academic work.
Kirsty Stokes, HR and Learning Development Advisor at Bagnalls, attended the awards ceremony with our successful apprentices. She had this to say: “I’m so proud of all our apprentices! They have each achieved exceptional milestones in their young careers and I can’t wait to see their careers grow and develop.
“They should each be very proud of themselves and should shout about their excellent awards from the rooftops! Amazing work.”
