Success at Bagnalls’ Apprentice of the Year Awards 2024

30 September 2024

Bagnalls’ Director Stephen Bagnall recently presented awards to a number of our talented apprentices at our Apprentice of the Year Awards 2024. The ceremony took place at our Training Academy in Doncaster, where our apprentices develop their skills.

Spending at least two weeks of each year at our Academy, our apprentices gain confidence in their painting and decorating talent, while familiarising themselves with new techniques and products. They also receive health and safety training to ensure that they are ready to deliver high-quality work in a safe manner.

We had a number of winners in both our Junior and Senior categories. Owen Sheldon was our Junior Runner-Up, while Willow Patey took home the Junior crown. Katie Sanders was named our Senior Runner-Up and Freddie Thorn took home the title of Senior Winner.

Between them, these fantastic apprentices have been finalists or winners for six awards in the past 12 months. We’re extremely proud that our apprentices are finding success at both internal and external awards ceremonies.

Our apprentices entering external competitions are given additional training at our Academy to help them further hone their skills and – hopefully – take another title home!

We want to say a huge well done to all four of our winners and thank them for all of their hard work. Stephen Bagnall said: “Our winners and runners-up should be very proud of themselves. Our awards recognise determination, dedication and talent, all of which they have in abundance.

“Well done – you each have bright, promising careers ahead of you! The whole of the Bagnalls family is behind you and we can’t wait to see what you do next.”
